Water Footprint Course and UPV Certification

After the great reception of the course held last October at the University Institute of Water and Environmental Sciences, Aquafides, in collaboration with the Aquaculture and Environment Research Center (ACUMA), the Official College of Agricultural Engineers of Levante (COIAL) and ACTECO, organize the December 14th, on the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), a new course on Water Footprint and Certification.

The course will be attended by Marco Antonio Oltra Cámara, CEO of Aquafides and expert in calculating the Water Footprint, and Luis González García, Agricultural Engineer, auditor and environmental verifier.

The purpose of the course is to disclose the concepts related to the Water Footprint and the importance of its Certification. It will cover topics such as:

  • Types of Water Footprint: blue, green and gray.
  • Methodologies of Water Footprint calculation: ISO 14046, Aquafides protocol and Water Footprint Network.      
  • The relationshipWater Footprint and Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR).
  • Benefits provided by the Certification.

The course is designed for all those professionals and companies that want to know the concepts of Water Footprint, its calculation, certification and applicable regulations. In addition, it is also recommended to those responsible for marketing of product of Business and others related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
