Aquafides and their posture before the water.
At Aquafides we align ourselves with the values and objectives of The Alliance for Sustainable Water Management (AWS). It is a global organization based on the collaboration between companies, NGOs and the public sector, whose members contribute to the sustainability of water resources through the adoption and promotion of a universal framework for the sustainable use of water: the International Standard for Sustainable Management of Water or AWS Standard.
The AWS Standard.
The objective of the AWS Standard is to promote sustainable water management, which we define as: the culturally and socially equitable, environmentally sustainable, and economically beneficial use of water, which is achieved through an inclusive process of stakeholders, which involves actions site and watershed based.
Good water managers understand their own water use, in context of the basin, and shared concerns in terms of water governance; hydric balance; water quality; important areas related to water; water sanitation and hygiene; and in this way, they commit to taking significant actions, both individually and collectively, that benefit people, the economy and nature.
