Water Footprint and Aquafides Certification course at the Polytechnic University of Valencia

Following the great success of the course held last October at the University Institute for Water and Environmental Sciences, Aquafides — in collaboration with the Research Centre for Aquaculture and the Environment (ACUMA), the Official College of Agricultural Engineers of the Levante (COIAL) and ACTECO — is organising a new course on Water Footprint and Certification on 14 December at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).
The course will feature Marco Antonio Oltra Cámara, CEO of Aquafides and an expert in water footprint calculation, together with Luis González García, agricultural engineer, auditor and environmental verifier.
The aim of the course is to spread the concepts related to the Water Footprint and the importance of its certification. It will cover topics such as:
- Types of Water Footprint: blue, green and grey.
- Water Footprint calculation methodologies: ISO 14046, the Aquafides protocol and the Water Footprint Network.
- The relationship between the Water Footprint and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
- The benefits of certification.
The course is designed for all professionals and companies who want to understand the concepts of the Water Footprint, its calculation, certification and the applicable regulations. It is also recommended for product marketing managers and others involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
