Interview on Water Footprint on Onda Regional de Murcia

Following the great success of the 1st National Tomato Congress held on 4 May 2019.

The Congress was presented and hosted by Onda Regional de Murcia journalist Fernando Vera, and was opened by the Regional Minister for Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Mr. Miguel Ángel del Amor, who highlighted that Águilas is a “national benchmark in tomato production”, adding that “differentiation in the market must come through growing varieties that recover traditional flavour and through new ways of presentation, such as the Cherry tomato”.

One topic that aroused great curiosity and expectation was “The water footprint in tomato growing”, given by Dr. Marco Antonio Oltra Cámara.
